Janet was not only a legendary Rink Manager here in New Jersey but a strong matriarchal figure to multiple generations of local hockey players and rink employees. Janet was there the first time many of us or our kids started skating, making sure we loved every minute of it, and that we always said "Please" and "Thank You"every time we ordered a hot chocolate. She taught many young rink employees how to be accountable, to be on time and how to make the best grilled cheese sandwiches around, all the while encouraging us to continue growing. She was there for Union Sports Arena every step of the way, supporting the growth of our hockey programs. Janet was the rarest type of person who you could find - someone you could always count on for anything, anytime, anywhere, all the while asking for nothing in return.
Janet was a huge part of what makes our local hockey community so special.
Union Sports Arena, is pleased to offer a scholarship program in Janet’s name to students who plan to continue their education beyond the 12th grade.
